Fabulous farm building conversion. Lovely and spacious

Kitchen was relatively poorly equipped - very little crockery, mugs etc.

The property was really clean and had everything you would need for a short break away.

The poor reception on arrival. Told to go to one barn in the pooring rain to find someone else booked in there. Host seemed a little confused as to where we were staying. Not enough utensils and cooking equipment for a self catering stay. No bbq tools. A bigger table to eat at and cook outside would have been useful...perhaps a sun umbrella too. Space and provision for tv in bedroom but no tv. Not enough towels.

Recently and tastefully modernised cottages around the open courtyard. . Has every facility we generally look out for plus gamesroom/library, laundrette etc. Lovely cat. Scenic cotswold way walk nearby. Helpful management.

Overall, our stay at this property was disappointing. The bed was very uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The lack of flyscreens meant that there were blow flies and other bugs everywhere, which may be consistent with being on a farm, but still very unpleasant. The lack of air conditioning made the place very hot, and there was no way to cool it down, I would hate to think what it would be like in Summer😱,. and yet on the other hand, the hot water runs out after one shower. Furthermore, the location was challenging to find, with very bad roads that were almost impassable in some places, making it difficult to pass other cars. While we appreciated the rural setting, the lack of basic amenities and the uncomfortable conditions made our stay less enjoyable than we had hoped. In conclusion, unless you are absolutely desperate, stay somewhere else.
