What a fantastic location, full of so many thoughtful amenities, and very well located near the Camino de Santiago route.

Another HyP apartment on our Camino trail. A gorgeous apartment, uptown Pontevedra, in a centuries-old building. Very comfortable and modern, given the architecture of the neighborhood. I would describe it as having "rustic charm." The view is great --- as promised, a balcony with a view to a lively plaza. Pontevedra is a pretty, vibrant city with a large number of visitors and an endless array of restaurants. However, you have one right down below, just walk downstairs! The food was outstanding. And, as in the other HyP apartment, a fresh croissant with coffee to kick off the day and on to Santiago!

It so happened that there was a VERY loud party going on outside till... 4am or so. The host did warn us, and we used a white noise generator to drown out the loud music as much as we could. This sort of thing comes with the excellent location. :)

While the apartment itself has its charms, the persistent noise and the lack of transparency about its surroundings make it a regrettable choice for a peaceful stay. I am well-traveled and don't consider myself a light sleeper. When I booked this apartment, I did so based on what seemed like positive reviews. However, after my stay, I am left with the unfortunate impression that the majority of those reviews may not be entirely honest or might even be fake.

The most significant issue was the unbearable noise. The apartment is located just above what appears to be the city's primary party spot. Even with earplugs and noise-canceling headphones, and with sealed windows, it was impossible to get any rest during the evening or throughout the night. I even message the host during the night about the experience, no reply :( This was exacerbated by the fact that the host or booking did not accurately represent the apartment's surroundings as a hub for clubbing and late-night (teenagers celebrated until 6 am) activity. The lack of transparency in the listing was a considerable letdown. The disappointment extended to the value for the money spent. The apartment is well-equipped and spacious, which was promising, but these features could not compensate for the persistent nightclub-level noise disturbing the sleep. Additionally, there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, possibly indicating issues with the old house's canal system. This further detracted from the overall comfort of the stay. My intention in booking this flat was to find a peaceful place to rest and rejuvenate during my Camino walk after several days walking. Unfortunately, it provided the exact opposite experience.

Would prefer a lockbox at door to make check in easier. Walking the Camino it’s hard to know exactly when you will arrive.
