Retro Inn 2 - Lake Tekapo

No breakfast, location was awesome

Beds were rock hard very hard mattress and pillows need replacing. Step stairs outside down to wood pile and garage need a hand rail for safety, hand rail also needed on main entrance

It had a lot of charm, kept quite warm, had great views and was close enough to town. It had everything we needed.

Nice knotty pine decor inside; we liked the availability of DVDs, coffee and milk, lots of kitchenware. It was nice to have a view of the mountains, even though it was somewhat limited. Glad you had both AC and heat. We used the AC!

The bathroom sink faucets are quite outdated, having the faucets be very short, and having separate cold and hot water faucets. We would have loved screens on the windows to prevent the little moths from coming in. It took a little time to get used to the creaks, groans and snaps that randomly sounded inside the house. It's a lively little place!

Great cabin like home. Air conditioning for summer, books and board games and DVDs and cds. Pingpong. Spectacular views. Retro chic. Clean and happy place.

If I had to say something it's the mysterious creaking the house makes. Cute poem on the kitchen wall assures you it's sturdy despute the sounds even when nobody is moving. It just creaks and nothing to worry about. First night was a bit hard to block out to sleep.

There was nothing we didn’t like
