188 Apartments - Petúnia - Pool and Balcony

Feb 27th-Mar 27th 2024 The host, Alex, met us when we arrived and allowed us to drop off our luggage before our check-in time since the previous guests had just departed and the unit was being cleaned. Alex provided us with directions to a restaurant nearby for an early afternoon lunch. At check-in, Alex explained "how to use" all the appliances, provided a booklet with useful information about Cascais (local restaurants, markets, bus, train), showed us the binder with the appliance manuals, and provided us with 2 free visitor passes for the local museums/sites. Great check-in! The apartment/unit is exactly as described in the listing. The kitchen, dining table, LR sofa, and TV are all contained in one room; the bedroom is separate from the living/kitchen/dining area. The unit was very clean and functional. The bed was very comfortable to us. The apartment/unit is located across the street from a Secondary School and very close to the local bus stop (M05, M15, M27 buses to & from the Cascais bus terminal; bus terminal is across the street from train terminal). The grocery store (Pingo Doce) is a 2 minute walk from the apartment and is located down a ramp, below street level. A local pharmacy, and health center, is a 1 minute walk from the apartment. We did not rent a car. We used the local transportation or walked. Central Cascais is a 20 minute walk from the apartment and a 25 minute walk to the local farmer's market (open Wednesday & Saturday). The walkway along the oceans' edge is a 20 minutes walk from the apartment and you can walk to Guincho (8km) or central Cascais (2km) along the walkway. Spectacular views! From central Cascais, you can walk to many different beach areas along the waterfront for amazing views. Swimming is allowed. The commuter train to Lisbon (from central Cascais) takes 40 minutes and runs every 20 minutes. If you load your train card with multiple rides, it is quite economical (e.g.

Exceptionally clean. Everything worked perfectly. Looks like on the pictures. Helpful host. Free Parking near the apartment. Good supermarket located close to the building.

Cons were minor and didn’t spoiled our experience. Tiny bathroom. Extra fee for using washing machine.

Everything was great. The apartment was modern, comfortable and very clean. The wrap around balcony was a good touch as well as the pool. There is a big supermarket 5 mins walk away. Alexandre was a great host and gave us lots of information and made us feel very welcome and clearly makes a big effort to ensure people enjoy their stay. We loved Guincho beach with its wild Atlantic waves crashing in.

Everything about the apartment was wonderful. Alex is a great host, pleasant and welcoming to all the family. We loved the location of the apartment, as nearby were some great restaurants and beaches. It was ten minutes to walk to the beautiful cascais town centre and a short drive to Lisbon. We had everything we needed including the pool which was greatly appreciated by our two children who spent many hours in it. We would love to return one day.

The location was great for what we needed. The apartment had everything we needed - a pool, laundry, close to grocery store, 15 min walk into town, lots of ubers. The host, Alex, was very pleasant, provided lots of information, and was available in person and via texting for any questions.

Just a little too small. It is better suited for a couple, not a family, for a stay longer than 2 nights.

The access to property was easy via a door key code and the owner was helpful with his check-in. The cleanliness was high and the owner left us a bottle of wine and treats which was a nice touch. The location was great and we actually enjoyed the 15/20 min walk to main town each day to get some steps in. The pool does make it a good choice/garden is a sun trap.

The check-in was quite late 5pm which is unusual / have always checked in by 3pm in other places. During our stay the neighbours dogs barked non stop, unsure if their owners were away and someone was coming back and forth to feed them but they were in the back garden for the full 6 days we were there. Bed was a little on the small side for us. Laundry was £10 per wash which for a week long stays seemed unreasonable plus the door to the laundry room was locked and the owner i guess would have had to come by to unlock to use (we didn't use it)

Wonderful stay, clean and well furnished. Alexander was great! I will obviously come back
