NZLocation: Perfect—In heart of CBD, cafés, and key sights. Facilities: Everything worked well (Heater, Wi-Fi). Nice lobby and handy on-site parking. Beds: Super comfortable mattress with good pillows; slept really well. Cleanliness: Spotless room and bathroom; housekeeping was consistent daily. Overall: 4.5/5 – would happily stay again.
PTNZFor the price you pay the room is fine. It has a bed that is comfy enough, a fridge, wardrobe and toiletries. The location is ideal if you are based around town as it is walkable to any of the local hotspots (Cuba St, Courtney Place etc.)
The communal bathroom facilities are old and not the nicest. The shower floor was drenched in water and the curtain did not close. The shower was hot and high pressure which was a good enough compromise. Expect to be woken in the night by people coming and going. The TV also didn't work.

There was a musty smell in the room. I left the windows open for a while for ventilation - this helped in reducing the smell. People with luggage should book rooms on the ground floor, as you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. One of the shower rooms has an exposed pipe - as the switch. The shower rug was soaking wet, and there was no shower curtain to help stop the water from coming out of the shower. The photos on the listing appear to have been edited to look so white.

NZLocation was great! And they provided towels and soap.
One shower had only cold water and the other one had a blocked drain. The walls and ceiling amplify the sound. You can hear absolutely everything through them.
NZNZI booked so as to be Central. Big kitchen open all hours for hot drinks. No casuals. Quiet.
I was cold at nights - extra duvets or blankets should be available. Could not get regular tv channels.
