Casa Gregis - Museums Area - 10 min walk to Upper town

Location was on the edge of the old town and modern centre (incl Railway Station), both are walkable but if you prefer buses run from the street outside and take contactless card. There is a Carrefour Express just across the road. Art museum just around the corner and visible from the flat's quiet back balcony. The old town is reachable by a wide and quiet pedestrian path near the flat. Bergamo with its walled old city is impressive. Trains are cheap (ridiculously so if you are from the UK) and quick (an hour) to Milan or Brecia, we went to both on day trips. A trip to one of the Lakes or into the mountains can be done by Hire Car quiet easily, which we did. The flat was easy to find and access. Martina who looks after the flat was very helpful with the detailed local information pack she had put together and assistence with our onward travel.

Beautiful apartment

We truly loved our stay in this lovely apartment in Bergamo! It felt like a home away from home — very spacious, cozy, and had everything we needed. What touched us the most was how thoughtful the host was: she even brought toys for our little one, which made him so happy! The view from the window was beautiful, and we could walk to all the charming spots in the city. The host was always kind, caring, and easy to reach whenever we had a question. We’re very grateful for this experience and would love to come back one day!

The apartment is very nice, very big and well equipped, you find things you didn't even think about. The host is extremely kind.

A friend and I spent 8 days at Casa Gregis. The apartment was so spacious, unlike so many others, and it was great to have 2 bathrooms. We also really liked the furniture and the decor, and the little balcony with its small table and chairs. There were fans in each bedroom - very useful because we arrived in an unexpected heatwave! The location was perfect for us - a Carrefour supermarket on the side road opposite, and the Academia Carrara and GAMeC galleries literally round the corner. A slightly steep path led from there to the centre of the upper town where there was a lot to see. From the time of our arrival and during our stay, Martina checked that we and the accommodation were OK. We were glad we were able to meet her early on and have a coffee and glass of wine with her, and later on met her family briefly. She made sure there was coffee, a great assortment of teabags, toast packets, jam etc. - really useful if we had arrived late and couldn't shop. Martina couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, checking bus and train timetables for us when we were stuck, advising on the best places to see, eat etc. She had also left numerous leaflets on tourist attractions in the city and places outside that we might want to visit. We did a day trip to Brescia by train and visited Lake Iseo by bus, both of which we enjoyed. We would definitely recommend Casa Gregis, and decided that if we were to return, we would certainly book there again.

Nothing comes to mind

Beautiful apartment with a great location. Bright, roomy, high ceilings and we loved the balcony. Martina as the best host and made sure we were made welcome and had everything we needed.

Church bells at 7.30 am on the first night were a surprise but it is Italy!
