The Bridge Unit 17

The cleaner mum Rose Gumede was very friendly and knows how to treat guests.

The unit is bright and airy with a kitted out kitchen and lovely views from the main bedroom and dining area. The location is perfect and walking distance to all the lovely eateries and shops in St Lucia. The hosts are super responsive on WhatsApp and very helpful. Visits to the gardens by vervet monkeys made our stay even more special. A perfect location for exploring iSimagaliso Park and the gorgeous beaches

There was nothing we did not like the only suggestion we might have would be a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar and milk. The shops seem to close early in the area if you arrive late and are coming from abroad.

Conveniently located near shops - walking distance to restaurants. Unit was airy, neat & appealing. Lovely garden and pool view.

Also noticed the bathroom door slightly sticky to close. Would prefer 2 bathrooms ...Wifi down entire weekend (suppose it was a good TV detox)

The location is great. The interior is modern. Free wifi was a bonus.

I made a mistake with the departure date, Staff helped to accommodate the family supposed to be in on 28th and allowed us to stay one night in this unit. The family that was supposed to move in said that they are staying in an apartment of friends and that they are happy with the situation. The owner of this unit said I must refund the family which I agreed to do. The gentleman said he is not stressed and I can give him a cold beer and we call it quits. But the owner of unit 4 where they moved in insisted I pay her which I found odd because the family who were originally booked already paid but didn't pitch which means she cashed in twice. Anyway, I paid her the extra night with cleaning per immediate eft. But what I don't get is why nobody called me around 10:00 (which normally is the time to vacate) while we were the nature reserve to ask why we have not yet vacated. I was at the unit around 12:30 and even then nobody came to remind me that we should vacate. Only around 14:45 did the first calls and messages come through on my phone but unfortunately my phone was on silent and on battery saver. So the employees have not done their part to find out why our belongings were still in the unit. It was indeed a very odd feeling getting to the unit and all our belongings were somehow put in bags and suitcases like when someone gets evicted as the cleaning personnel were getting the apartment ready at 16:00 only for the newbies who were already on the property. A day earlier it was raining heavy and was leaking in the living room. I contacted the owner who said maintenance will sort it out when the rain stopped. Not sure if that was sorted. What I also found weird was that housekeeping was not included. When the toilet is flushing the water pipes makes a really loud noise. The bathroom door doesn't close properly on the first go. You have to do it in a very specific way. There were just 2 hooks to hang towels over to dry.

The location is great.

Despite the rules, it was super noisy due to parties at the other units. The unit was stuffy, and the beds, my gosh... we could feel the springs. My back is not happy hence I am not happy.
