Holly Lodge 12 Hot Tub

The lodge was lovely, hot tub was nice and clean and checked daily Bed was comfy. Kitchen well kitted out Decent shower, hot water Easy to park outside Very close to York centre which was a big plus, taxi was about £6. Few take aways close by and a large supermarket

4pm check in was a bit too late, however, we could have paid an extra £10 pp to check in at 2pm but decided against it as we had already paid just short of £500 for 3 nights. The fishing swim was full of weeds and my partner and the chap in the next cabin had to wade in to the water to clear it to be able to fish. There is lots of rats (expected a few obviously, its a lake and their habitat)... but they were present throughout the day and we had to keep the lodge doors shut leading out to the hot tub as they were just casually walking around on the decking. Overall for what we paid the actual fishing was a huge disappointment but the lodge/location were lovely..
