"Nice place but only for a few days"

Well laid out easy to find nice view from hot tub. Clean throughout and comfy bed. Close to York

Tired and a little dated. Took a while to sus out oven as all controls had been rubbed off from cleaning. Limited cutlery could have done with a wooden spoon or spatula. Hot tub was smelly on Sunday morning so couldn’t use. Had to pay extra for fishing although only fished for few hours charged for weekend.

Amazing location and setting. Not far from York city centre. A 10 min walk to a few shops and pubs which was nice after we arrived late afternoon. Great information pack left by owner which told us everything we needed to know for our stay. The lodge was spotlessly clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub was a brilliant addition!

The bed wasn’t very comfortable but that’s due to personal preference, the spa bath wasn’t working unfortunately and the shower door got a bit stuck. These are all minor things and we would come back in a heartbeat!

I booked this as a Christmas present for my parents. They absolutely loved it. They loved the fact that the balcony was right on the lake - it felt very private. They thought it was beautiful.
