Nice size apartment. Nice view. Well furnished.

The Host Agent is dishonest. They charged me for cleaning services who never arrived to clean or change towels. Even worse, they deducted R895 from my R1000 Deposit because they claimed that I left stains on the chair and they needed to clean them. That was a big lie. I didn't even use those chairs. It was either the couch at the lounge or the bed in the bedroom.

I really enjoyed my stay at the property. The place was clean, spacious, and exactly as advertised. It offered great value for money, and the location was convenient and easy to find.

the payment process was a bit frustrating. I was asked to pay on a different platform and also had to pay a deposit, which took much longer to be refunded than promised. I had to follow up multiple times and was given excuses instead of clear communication. Just something to keep in mind if you’re considering booking.

The only thing commendable about this stay is how beautiful the apartment was. It is such a shame as I would love to come back or even recommend it to friends/family but the host agents that managed my booking were not at all up to the standard of this apartment.

Where to begin? The apartment is listed on booking.com but the payment that you make is not on this platform. They message you separately and give you a link to pay for the property. I felt completely unsafe as I had never heard of 'Host Agents' before so I requested banking details and was able to make the payment. They tried to get extra money from me for the deposit, and I had to make them look at previous messages sent as well as the actual booking.com page so they could see that they were wrong. Once that was sorted, it was really just downhill... I was sent a message from the 'Host Agents' business page on Whatsapp with check-in information and the name and number of the host that would hand over the keys. I was told to liaise with her on my arrival time and did just that, but was still getting messages on the booking.com app asking for my ETA - clearly no communication. Furthermore, the check-in information had multiple, quite frustrating, errors. The access code to enter the building was wrong .The parking space information was wrong, which led to me not only having to park in the visitor's area and pay for that parking on the first day, but also drive around in circles looking for a parking space that was impossible to find. If you've been to Ellipse, you know how confusing that parking lot is, and we weren't shown where to park just told that if we don't park in our dedicated parking spot, we would get a fine. I wish that were all! We found the parking spot, codes are working, and we just wanted to relax and go for a swim. We asked our host when the pool area closes, and she fully said 'I don't know'. She didn't even try and find out for us, she literally just told us she had no clue... And as if that wasn't enough, even after checking out and waiting over a MONTH, I have not received my deposit back.

I like how clean and tidy it was and also being right across the Mall Of Africa was a very great touch.

There’s nothing I was unhappy with about the property, it was so comfortable and had a very homey feel about it. My favourite part was the beautiful views from the balcony.
