This was a great place to stay for a peaceful beach holiday. The accommodation is located a little outside the centre of Albufeira, so the area was very quiet and relaxing. The nearest beach is less than a 10-minute walk away. There is also a larger beach about 15 minutes away on foot, which we liked even more. We also walked to another beach around 30 minutes away, or sometimes drove to explore other places nearby. We had a car, so getting around was easy, although we did not move around very much because the beaches nearby were beautiful and easy to reach. We stayed in June, when the area and the beaches were not too crowded, which made our stay even more enjoyable. There was also a nice restaurant on the same street, which was convenient whenever we did not feel like cooking. The kitchen was well equipped, so we were also able to prepare our own meals. The bed was comfortable, and we really appreciated the mosquito screens on the windows. The bathroom was spacious, and the whole apartment felt very generous for two people, especially as it also had a separate living room. We did not use the terrace very much because we spent most of our days at the beach, but it was still a pleasant addition. Overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing place to stay, especially for anyone looking for peace and quiet close to several beautiful beaches.

The main downside was the large number of ants in the apartment. We could not leave any food out, and we had to take the rubbish out every day, even though we were only at the accommodation in the mornings and evenings. Despite this, the ants quickly got into the bin and were constantly crawling on the table, the kitchen counter and other surfaces. We bought ant traps, but unfortunately they did not help. We understand that the property is surrounded by nature and that this may be difficult to control completely, but it was still very frustrating. We were also disappointed that the apartment did not provide even basic household essentials. Although this is mentioned in the listing, there was no hand soap, rubbish bags, cleaning cloth or kitchen towels. Towels, a sponge and washing-up liquid were provided, but at least some hand soap on arrival would have been appreciated.
