Caravan is old but very homely and comfortable

The caravan was extremely clean, comfortable seating inside and outside, in a quiet, peaceful corner in a small caravan plot, about a 4 min walk to the beach, with amenities nearby. An ideal place for our relaxing, chilled short break away. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, washing up liquid, cleaning products inc cloths provided even though we did use our own bathroom items. We were told before arriving there would be no cooker during our stay, but there was an air fryer and microwave which did not affect our stay as we had planned no cooking!! We did use the air fryer to cook sausages, though, which was easy enough to wash up. The new cooker was being installed on the day we left. The beach is lovely, with lifeguards and a safe, patrolled swimming area. The walk to Winterton along the beach is a must, and you can return via the beach or the Norfolk Coastal Path. We got to see a couple of seals in the sea Host has been friendly and quick to reply to messages and send information. We will return to this relaxing location for a short stay in the future.

A couple of points, which would have made our score of 9 a 10!! Would be nice to have some electricity on arrival , so a cup of tea can be made after travelling (topping up is not far, i know). Could always top up later if/ when run out. The hoover is not stored in the best place, by the back door which was in front of both bedrooms. We did move this during our stay. There were towels provided but no large bath towels to use after a shower. A small coat hook in the bathroom outside the shower cubicle would be a good addition, too. It would be useful to have menus and information, opening times of Hemsby places to eat within the visitors folder- we did add a Chinese menu from a very good Chinese about a 3 min walk away, we would recommend. We walked to the chip shop but it had closed at 7.30, we arrived at 7.35!!

Location

Had no cooking facilities had to eat out as there was no cooker booked self catering spoke with owner as they said cooker will be delivered in a couple of days didn't turn up. Gas ran out on the Thursday steps into caravan held up on pieces of slab. Would expect some sort of refund due to not being able to cook in facilities. Very poor. Would not recommend to anyone. No communication from owners after first day.

Caravan had everything we needed and was in a great location

The collapse of the steps to get in the caravan was concerning. One of our party fell backwards, flat on their back when the steps broke off and it was lucky that they didn’t hurt themselves. The plugin airfreshner in the bed room was really strong and despite removing it for our stay, the potent smell remained and disturbed sleep.

The caravan is lovely and very well equipped, It is very close to the beach and the amusements whilst also being situated in a peaceful and quiet location. The hosts are also really helpful.

Location was good for us, everything you'd expect from a caravan

Having to pay for electricity in addition to the room rate made it a bit disappointing
