Host & Stay - Hope Cottage

Good location, size and comfortable. Clean and tidy. Well communicated.

Clean, but not spotless. Visually tidy, but under sofas needed a thorough clean.

Location was good - close by town. The beds and room were comfortable.

The directions were incorrect, the link took us to the wrong property, delaying our arrival by 50 mins-1 hour whilst we found a car parking space. By the time we established where the correct property was, there was no parking locally, eventually we found a space.

It was a lovely little cottage. Impeccably clean, and really nicely decorated. The location was perfect, just a 10 minute walk into Whitby town centre. Really quiet area, and we were able to park on the road right outside the cottage, which was really good. The kitchen was stocked with all the plates, utensils, etc that we needed. There was also free WiFi, even though it says on Booking.com that there isn’t WiFi. Really spacious bathroom, we loved the big shower. Bed was really comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

The garden, although brilliant for our dogs, was a bit scruffy. Could do with a bit of a tidy up, and the hedge was so overgrown that the gate wouldn’t open properly. So, trim the hedge, mow the lawn, pull the weeds, and the garden would be as perfect as the cottage.

Parking wasent very easy when we arrive had to park down hill from property hard work getting cakes AS 74 with arthritis etc

L9cation was good 10 mins to the town. The cottage was lovely and there was free on street parking. The cottage was clean and amelt lovely. Free WiFi. The little extra lime tea and coffee and toiletries was a lovely touch.

Sofas were not very comfy however the room doesn't allow big sofas but more comfortable ones would be great.
