Apt. 2 - Town Centre Apartment

For my travel purposes, this apartment worked out very well. It was nice having a place to myself for a reasonable price. All walking distance to groceries, restaurants, pharmacy, river, etc. Convenient parking. Town was very friendly, and Eoin and his wife were great hosts! The place was clean and comfortable. Drive to Kilkenny was easy, and I enjoyed being located outside the city. Photos are from when I took a stroll in the area.

All was fine for me. The apt. is a bit older, with normal wear and tear, none of which was an issue for me. Priced accordingly. Good for 1 person or couple.

Loved the location. The room was tidy and nice. Had all the things we needed.

Would not recommend to people with allergies and asthma. It had a strong scent of mould. That was the only thing that spoiled all the nice about it.

I love the location and the probably not bad for the price the views were lovely.

Let me point directly to the host’s attitude. He was not accommodating at all. He barged into the room while were sleeping at 10:30pm without knocking or previous notice, he accused us of partying in the apartment which was totally not, at first we thought we have been burgled. He threatened to throw us out at that time of the night. His attitude was so terribly bad and aggressive like he was going to hit me.

It was clean and in the center.

The apartment is in the centre of Bagenalstown, close to supermarkets, pubs, and takeaways. The nearby canal offers beautiful walks. The apartment itself is located in an old town house, with stairs and floors slanted in one direction, which will surely give everyone an idea of how life was here more than 100 years ago. However, the interior has been modernized and furnished. Parking is possible on the street.
