Apt. 2 - Town Centre Apartment

Keys were in a small lock box just outside the front door next to the phone shop, two doors to the building the main door and the door for the apartment itself. I liked having the entire place to ourselves undisturbed, especially being able to change the heating to suit my needs. The sofa bed in the living room was great while watching films. We were in great proximity to the shop which was just a few meters up the road, and to the motorway aswell which was only around a 5 minute drive up the road. (We frequented dublin during our stay) Gorgeous scenery along the way especially during the rare snowfall. Bed was lovely and clean and towels were provided for the shower which was electric so required no time to heat up. Smart TV too so easy entertainment as well as free wifi. Plates glasses forks etc all provided, kettle and a toaster as well as a small fridge freezer in the kitchen.

The pull out part of the sofa bed was missing a wheel, and kept splitting apart or moving and items would fall between the crack or youd feel a draft. The pans were also aged/damaged slightly and stained the food when we tried to make pancakes. The other worked fine but just stuck much easier because of missing paint. The trays in the oven were also not cleaned and had tinfoil and breadcrumbs from a previous attendant, easily cleaned by ourselves but something to take care with. I brought along my PS5 from home too for extra entertainment and to play games with my spouse, but it had issues connecting to the wifi so used mobile data instead. Wifi worked on any other devices so unsure of the issue, was easily rectified so nothing major. Overall was a great stay good value and great location, just needs a few small jobs done to be 100% perfect, most of which just fall down to age of the building and items. Thanks for having us 👌

The apartment is in a great location, easy access to supermarkets and pubs within a 10 minute walk. Beautiful river just around the corner and very hospitable, responsive host.

The bathroom was quite dated compared to the rest of the apartment and could do with a good refurb

It was centrally placed for walks and visiting other area in Co. Carlow

The shower needed updating.

Great little apartment in a great town that I could relax and get over my jet lag after travelling from NZ.

Despite a creaky bed, we slept well. Shops close by and plenty to do in the area.

The toilet didn't work very well, the feces of the previous tenant were still there. In the bathroom the mushrooms grew between the tiles. The owner promised to solve it for the next guests. However, we received no apology ;-(
