The only positive is that the airport transfer booked through the accommodation arrived on time.

There was no communication prior to check in. It's in a gated community and there is no signage until you are right at the front door to let you know you're even in the right place. When I called for information at 3pm, I was told it was lunchtime and no one could help right now. When checking in, it was like we were an inconvenience to the host (who only spoke Italian). The door to our room didn't have a lock on it, so things never felt secure. The air conditioning had preset times and was set at 25 degrees. It turned off in the middle of the night and the room was stifling. Due to no lock on the door, you had to roll down the shades for privacy/security, but then couldn't get any airflow into the room. There was also no information provided about check out. Despite seeming close to a beach, there is no swimming area nearby. Stay in Bari town and organise an airport transfer instead of staying here.

Italo, the owner of the property, kindly came to rescue us at the airport when the car hire company we had booked with failed to turn up within an hour of our arrival. He couldn't have been more helpful, checking details on our hire form and ringing the phone number provided. We were about to get into his car when the shuttle eventually turned up. Once we arrived at La Rosa Blu (just before midnight) we had trouble turning off the lights of our hybrid car and Italo was so kind and patient. The property and our room were perfect but it was Italo who made our stay so memorable.

Nice villa and garden. Nice walks along the coast road but it is 20 min walk from property. Host can drop you to the airport for €20 Euros.

It a lovely property but it felt we were a guest in someone’s house, lots of rules, kitchen area locked off until the morning, no eating in room etc. Felt a bit uncomfortable and not valued as a guest. It’s a fair walk from the train station if you are arriving that way. Just a coffee pod for breakfast. Water supply in kitchen turned off, very strange.
