Very nice facilities, the apartment was clean, close to the city center (in walking distance), AC in both rooms, pack of snacks on kitchen table and coffee at our disposal, the neighborhood was nice and safe and it was quiet down the street (hard thing to come by in Italy).

The parking down the street was quite busy and at times it was almost impossible to find a spot in walking distance. It was also a paid parking close by but it charged too much.

No parking ! But there is a parking area nearby that cost 10€ per day.

Cozy apartment with perfect location. Very clean with everything you need inside. 5 min walk to Sassi, parking nearby. Alessio is an amazing host!

Great location to explore Matera. Very close to sassi, however very quite place for sleeping. I was really suprised by the design of the appartment. It is visible in every detail that the owner, Alessio is an architect. It was easy to find a parking space in close distance and all facilities like bakeries, restaurants are in the vicinity. And Matera is my No. 1 in Puglia! So I really recommend this 44 Metri Quadri :-)

Great host that we never met. We talked on IM which was great and convenient for us.

Short walk to town historic centre, easy to find. Place squeaky new and clean. Not too noisy street. All in all, it was worth the money.

No decent knife. Even when I asked for one, I was told I can't get it for "safety reasons". You could have 150 knives in the flat, just write it down that I am using them at my own risk and you are legally not applicable. I think it was more dangerous to try to cut the stone-hard traditional "church" bread with a butter knife. Also, this is an apartment block so you hear EVERY neighbour in EVERY apartment and if the lady next door has something to say to her husband at 3 in the morning ... tough luck. For future travellers: bring your own weapons if you want that mortadella cut in slices and not in chunks. All in all, it was Ikea-like, but not Italian-like, my wife noticed the whole apartment lacks a woman's touch - everything is there but a lot of it is impractical.

Everything was so perfect, Alessio is a great host and his apartament is very clean and cozy. We've had the best time in Matera. Alessio guided us where to go in the city, recommended few places to eat. Grazie Alessio! :)
