Cabin 246 Riverside, Glan Gwna

The property is a lovely place to stay, on a lovely site. It is quite spacious. Great sized bath sheets. The host left us fresh fruit, which has a lovely touch.

The bathroom had mould on the blind. The gate latch is faulty. Our dog escaped, and was missing for two hours.

Electric shower kept tripping the electric,s, ceiling heaters were poor for heat and you had to supply electric on a card

The hosts are entirely unresponsive, I called 4 times and texted twice. Upon our arrival we found two people already inside our cabin and it took over an hour to get them out. They somehow had the keys and had used the facilities before us. The WiFi also did not work at all which meant the smart tv was useless.

Everything we needed was provided. Easy to find and great size. The site was quiet with great facilities. Perfect for what we needed - hiking with friends. Plenty of towels which smelt lovely and fresh.

Beds were not the best for comfort and quite noisy when you move in the night.

Nice cabin to stay in, we went as a family of 5 with 2 dogs. The main reason was the heated outdoor pool and the fishing facilities with a river and a lake on site. The cabin was nice and clean, bedding and towels provided. Obviously a bug bear is you have to pay for the electric on a metre, we used about £7 a day with no heating on. The cabin wasn’t cheap so it would have been nice to have some money on the metre, 68p when we arrived. 3 bedrooms and a lovely kitchen with a bathroom that met all our needs. What I particularly liked was washing up liquid, bin bags, cleaning cloths and cleaning products provided for kitchen and bathroom.

There was only 1 rail to hang clothes with 10 hangers on, we were there for 6 days, this just wasn’t enough wardrobe space for all of us. One option would definitely be to put hooks on the back of the bedroom doors, only the bathroom had this and this would have helped. Because the heating is on the ceiling in panels or a convection heater, the towels never got dry. The weather was cool in August when we went so we only used the pool once, even then it was a hot day and 20 degrees! The lake is £4 a day to fish on and the river £20 a day!!

Everything you needed. Cafe and shop on site. Good pool.
