"Awful FRAUDULENT owners! Didn't return deposit and broken equipment"

Clean apartment and street parking.

The heating stopped working and we couldn't get any response from the owners. They claimed they had a sofa bed and we were a family of 4. The sofa bed is not functional and is broken and we ended up having to put blankets and cushions on the floor and sleep on the floor. We were emailed personally by the host Cozy Pads saying that we need to transfer a deposit of £200 in order to be let into the property. We made the transfer straight away. That was in December and it is 25th March 2026 and we still haven't been returned our deposit. This is absolutely disgusting! To think I made this booking on this reputable website and then for this to happen is absolutely appalling!! I will really re-consider making bookings on this website. I gave them 3 months to resolve this before posting this!!

Absolutely disgusting service! They did not respond to any of my messages on any of the days building up to my stay. Even worse was that I paid in FULL at the time of booking. (4 months before) I booked this apartment to stay in for the week of exams I had after what has been a very long journey to become a therapist and on the actual day that I was travelling down (still no response) I needed the code and had to call customer service at booking.com who were also unable to get a response so they sent a 45min warning email stating that they will need to respond or refund. They responded to that and told customer service that the apartment had no heating and they cancelled my booking (on the actual day of) this means that had i not called customer service then I would have travelled down and been completely stuck! This is completely and totally unacceptable and I haven't even had so much as an apology for this dreadful service. I can not stress this enough that they obviously do not care and I recommend you do NOT book here! They are unprofessional and not fit to be on here. Absolutely almost destroyed my exam week and I had to book into a travelodge which was an unexpected cost and meant I had to miss out on the celebration meal at the end of my course due to not being able to afford it. This place has caused me massive problems and stress and embarrassment. DO NOT stay here ir it may happen to you also.

The apartment was nice, there was some existing damage to the sofa bed and I took photos of it when we arrived. I paid the host a £200 deposit which they did not refund, I tried to contact the host numerous times but the number I had kept getting cut off. Eventually I contacted the booking.com customer services who were very helpful and sent a credit note for £200, I'm now waiting for the money to go back into my bank account. There was no explanation as to why the money was not refunded straight away by the host. Beware when booking with this host as they seem to like to take the deposit then not give it back as promised. I will not be booking with this host ever again.

"Adequate for our stay but we spent most of our time with family."

Location was ideal for our stay, close to both train and family. Shops nearby. Kitchen well equipped and very clean. Bed comfortable.

Staircase up to accommodation was narrow and very steep. When we arrived the apartment was cold and heating appeared to be set on frost protect. Pull out sofa bed was poor quality and front base board was broken. The quilt provided had no cover even though we had booked for 3 adults

"Exceptional"

The location was good as close to shops , take aways and restaurants. It was prefect location as I was only a mile away from where I was working.

Only thing I did not like was there was not a glass bowl that was oven proof.

Good location right on the a6 with 192 bus stop right outside the door. Comfortable apartment with all the facilities. Easy to check in and out with a key safe on the door. Would definitely stay here again if I needed a place to stay around stockport/hazel grove

"Nice location, free parking"

Clean accomodation and nice location with free parking.

No hairdryer, broken sofa. Bad communication, slow response. Traffic light beeping can here inside.
