The Chestnut - Liverpool City - L7

This has potential to have been a great apartment but so many things let it down, it has big spacious rooms.

The place was filthy. There was dust everywhere, suspicious stains on sheets, floors unclean, windows broken, stains on walls, light fixings hanging down from the ceilings, curtains dont fit the windows. Hairs and dust all over the bathroom and toothpaste still covering the plug in the sink. 2 taxi drivers told us to be careful in this area and not to walk alone at night..

They allowed us earlier check in as there was no one staying the night before.

BOTTLES OF WEE, FIRE HAZARDS AND BITS OF THE STAIRCASE MISSING! Where do I start... Checked in early but only just put our bags inside and to park the car there before heading to a football game, didn't get back till around 10pm and when we did get back we noticed the state of the place, storage heaters with melted plugs plugged in, the stair case had bits missing that my 2 year old and 3 year old could have very easily fallen through and then just to really top things off when we pulled out the kids single bed to make it into 2 beds my wife discovered 2 bottles of urine behind the bed that has been left there by previous guests I assume. By this time it was very late and we had 2 young children who were very tired and an older one who was tired so just got to bed and the next morning I sent all these details including photos to the host and he said he was sorry but I should have told him last night so he could have come and sorted things at the house??? So did not offer any refund or seem overly bothered about it atall but instead said I should have called him at almost midnight so he could come clean the bottles of wee and and fix the stairs like that's acceptable. In fact as you can see from the photos provided he infact blocked my number and said he will let booking.com deal with it instead of doing what's right himself and giving us a refund. STRONGLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE STEERS CLEAR!

Free parking, large to accommodate 5 couples. We're accommodating for an early check in

Lumpy pillows, positioning of bathrooms, window in loft wouldn't close, stairs carpet was badly stained.

House is dated poor furnishings, in process of refurbishment, but loose wires lights flickering when switched on. Curtains don't fit windows. Sunken floor near front entrance. No smoke alarms. Extractor fan in kitchen not working. Dirty mattresses. Hard towels didn't smell very nice. Utility room filled with builders rubbish so unusable. can attach pictures if needed..Spindles missing on landing leading to top bedrooms.
