The Hawthorns B & B

Toffe locatie om het noorden van Scotland te verkennen. Goede propere kamers met proper sanitair. Rijkelijk ontbijt met keuze uit verschillende opties, je vraagt het maar en je krijgt het. Eén van onze medepassagiers die allergenen heeft kreeg aangepaste voeding. Een salon/zithoek is aanwezig waar de gasten zich kunnen ontspannen, wij konden er s'avonds kaarten. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren.

Onze badkamer was een badkamer voor mindervaliden. Alles was er netjes en al het nodige was aanwezig. Klein minpuntje was dat bij het douchen er wel overal water was doordat het gordijn niet alles tegenhoud en er dus water tot onder de wc liep en je hierdoor natte voeten had. Lage lavabo aangepast voor rolstoelgebruikers.

Very clean and comfortable. Our room overlooked the garden at the back and was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very good, continental and Scottish cooked breakfast. We can recommend the Hawthorns B&B and would stay here if passing this way again.

Location,very handy for the Gills Bay ferry to Orkney. Warm welcome, comfortable room with all the amenities. Great breakfast with plenty of choice to select from.

The b&b doesn't do an evening meal so if you are going to dine out you need to book in advance as there aren't many nearby dining establishments to select from.

Great location, if you want remoteness this is for you. Very quiet. Friendly and informative hosts. Fantastic breakfast. Room was a good size, it had a fridge which was very handy. Ample tea and coffee.
