Very central location

The advert did not specify that there would be no staff in Galway city and they required payment of the security deposit through a text message link. The advert didn't make this clear at all. They refused to send it through booking.com. It seemed cery suspicious. Staff were dismissive, rude and applied pressure, telling me they were closing in 10 minutes and we wouldn't get access to the apartment until we paid through the link. Awful, absent and dodgy "host". Seems like an investment fund property where they've bought the whole street and are trying to manage it remotely. Additionally the external door handle was half detached from the door. Very bad experience.

The location was great. Easy walk to activities and train stay. There were a few maintenance issues (broken toilet seat, clogged shower drain and one bathroom door wouldn’t close) we wanted addressed so we would not be held responsible for and Colin came to fix them.

Having traveled a lot to Galway, we were well aware of the hot water situation. There were 8 of us so we knew we had sinc our showers, there was limited hot water for a short shower and dishes. I bought 2 bath mats to avoid slipping in g to he shower. There was inadequate linens and tp/paper towels for 3 night stay for 8 people. Owning rental property myself, these are essentials so the renter doesn’t have to think about them on holiday. The unit is located next to a restaurant/pub and they empty their glass bottle a few times during late hours.

We were burgled within the first hour of leaving the property after checking in. This was by a man who had a key to just let himself in! He stole 2 of our suitcases with the entire contents in plus our alcohol and other items. He came back twice in the first hour. We did not feel safe, we were a group of women and this totally spoiled our stay. We were promised a call from the owner to discuss our concerns however we were fobbed off time and time again by booking.com and the owners friend, now they are both ignoring my messages. We have had nothing in the way of an explanation, apology or refund despite asking for one. The police are investigating this matter and we await the outcome, however 2 of our party were left with nothing other than what they arrived in as we literally dropped our bags in and went out.AVOID THIS ACCOMMODATION AT ALL COSTS

Brilliant location, very good communication from host, spotless and very spacious great for group stays.

Strangely the property would not give us the check in details until one hour after our agreed check in time as the cleaners were still there. Meant we were waiting outside for over 40 minutes waiting to get in. Also the bathroom drains are very smelly and it's very off-putting and unpleasant in an otherwise very nice house. Otherwise the location is excellent and the beds are really very comfortable! If they could work on these few issues it would improve things a lot.
