Clean, comfortable, easy to park outside. Well equipped with good facilities

We booked this property to visit Alton Towers, and we were about 30 minutes away. The accommodation is on a residential street, we travelled by car and had on street parking. The property is a good size and worked for us, a family of 6. The property was clean with all furnishings in a good condition and working wi-fi. Bedrooms had televisions, we never used but they were modern flat screens (Ruku) and looked new.

The property has a setup which is common for the region but a bit dated and unusual - bathroom is at the back of the property off the kitchen. Also whilst clean it is a little past its best, it was fine for a short stay.

It was comfortable - all the beds were good. The location suited us well and the street parking worked well for us. The TVs were great for relaxing

I was amazed that there was no shower curtain- which looked like it was not there because the rail was broken. We had travelled from a festival to go to a graduation and we all needed showers. It was impossible to do so without the floor getting soaking wet - which also felt quite dangerous- so we only had one shower each. There was also no plug or bowl for the kitchen sink making it tricky to wash up and I could not find the mentioned drying rack. The other things would not have bothered me too much but I was upset about the lack of a shower curtain especially given the amount I had paid - some effort should have been taken to fix it.

There’s honestly no positives to write about the property.

This property is absolutely not as described. “Offering a garden and quiet street views” - absolutely not. The ‘garden’ is an area of concrete which is completely overgrown with weeds and is littered with coke cans and juice bottles and nothing about the street is quiet. The photos are tactically taken to show the decor of the property and make it look clean and modern, when in reality it’s far from. There’s black mould in the bathroom which they’ve tried to paint over. There’s an unlocked cupboard in the bathroom which is full of damp and stinks. Really unsafe when staying with children - and of course I told them not to open it, but they’re 3 and 4yo, of course they’ll try to open it! Oven and extractor hood in kitchen was filthy. Shower head was absolutely disgusting, shower curtain was orange at the bottom. There’s holes in the wall, photo frames held together with tape, everything is just tacky, tired and horrible. They have clearly tried to paint over every imperfection and it just makes it look even worse. We wanted to leave after checking in, but were refused a refund. Would not recommend this to anyone.
