Lesbury Lodge - (a 'bijou residence') with hot tub

location is excellent and Lodge is very clean. There is a lovely village pub a few minutes walk from Lodge serving excellent food and lovely village shop just a few more minutes walk from pub.

couch too low and soft...mattress not supportive..squeezing past end of bend is a pain..not back friendly as have to bend down to use small rubbish bin and bending to use fridge and freezer had empty ice bags in 3 in fact had been left in freezer compartment..freezer door not closing and therfore very full of frozen ice i feel that suggests no one checking fridge and making sure it is in good working order...and fridge door dragging on floor when opened ...basically think a new fridge is needed....and dead plants in hanging baskets above entrance to Lodge....and very unpleasant smells from bathroom after flushing toilet...sorry for all the negatives...having a hot tub is very nice but it doesn't compensate for the issues in the lodge....

Comfortable and has everything you need for a few nights stay. Location was great for walking to the local pub and within good driving distance of other attractions. Hot tub was nice to relax in on an evening. Good communication prior to coming to inform of best route and road closures etc. which was helpful.

Agree with some previous reviews that there is a damp smell in the bedroom but it was ok when we opened the windows. We had an issue with the hot tub making a loud beeping sound one of the evenings and had a couple of neighbours knock on our door to complain about this. We were able to get through to the hosts quickly though who told us how to turn it off at the mains which did stop the sound but we had been looking forward to a morning dip before we checked out! Not anyone’s fault though and can’t fault the quick response.

Great location with a lovely easy walk in to Alnmouth. Plenty to do and see for a short stay. Alnwick was a 10 minute drive. Unfortunately the only pub in Lesbury is closed on Monday and Tuesdays. Loved the lazy spa.

No oven just a hob and the carpets could be replaced with hard or tiled flooring due to damp smell. I imagine the property might get cold in the autumn as there was no heating just plug in portable heaters.

Good location, comfortable accommodation.

Slghtly damp smell in the bedroom, possibly related to a leak from the shower cubicle.

Good place to stay ideal to walk to Alnmouth and drive to the rest of Northumberland

Didn’t have a wine bottle opener in the kitchen, luckily I had one in my car, also it explains in the book when you get there that you can’t let your dog in the bed room, If we would have locked the dog out the bed room he would of barked all night, this should be stated in policy on booking .com As our dog sleeps in the bedroom on floor

Great location to explore the coast and countryside, nice hot tub to relax in after a day out and about. Free WiFi and Netflix.
