Host & Stay - Lemonade Arch

This house is beautiful and kept very clean, beautiful bedrooms and the downstairs utility is perfect for those rainy days/wellies or people with dogs. The lounge area is gorgeous, the location is fab with a short walk into town. There is ample of everything like bowls and glasses etc for your stay too.

Only two things I can think of, sofas need a clean, you wouldn't know but I had to wipe after my son spilt water ...but biggest thing is parking. Told by Host & Stay to park in space 3 but that doesn't belong to Lemonade Arch. The parking bays are in front of one another and the writing on the floor has warn out and needs repainting. A3 is should say, very small and compact spaces so big cars or vans will struggle unfortunately.

It was big enough to accommodate all 10 of with ease , well positioned for walking into Whitby.

Gorgeous property, clean, spacious, great location, comfortable beds

We liked the kitchen dining area. There was plenty of pots, pans and cutlery. The beds were comfortable.

Little things really. The room I was in whilst there was a mirror in the bathroom there wasn’t a mirror in the bedroom making it difficult to blow dry my hair. The shower had no tray to hold soap , shampoo etc.

Our family group, 10 in total, were very happy with the premises. Rooms are spacious, clean and user friendly, there were plenty of baths and toilets, the kitchen was well equipped and the location suited us well in that it wasn't too far from any of the attractions but it was on the opposite side of the river to the daytime crowds - essential when you have children to get to bed! Noise from traffic wasn't a problem even in rooms facing the road. The layout suited us well - there was plenty of space for us all without being on top of each other and the main room was great for family meals in that we could all sit comfortably around the dining table at mealtimes.

Opening and closing the key box was a bit tricky on occasion because the cover kept flipping down and the mechanism for unlocking was a bit stiff. The single bed in one of the family rooms had a damaged support underneath the mattress (discovered when we were trying to find a toy). My grandson is a slightly built five year old and was never in the room alone so we assume it was damaged before we arrived. An extra car parking space would have been useful for our party of 10, no way were 2 spaces enough!

The location and having two parking spaces. The open plan lounge kitchen diner worked well with a small sitting room on the ground floor if you needed a quiet space.

The Venetian blinds in the bedrooms let in too much light for a comfortable good night's sleep. At least one twin room with single beds would have worked better for our party rather than all five bedrooms having a double or king sized bed with just one single bed in one of the rooms.
