The Vottage - 3 bed cottage

We absolutely loved our stay at The Vottage. Everything was there for a perfect home from home. Very clean and comfortable. Everything was provided if you wanted to stay in and eat, also perfectly placed for Royal William Yard and for hopping on and off the ferries to Mount Edgecumbe and the Barbican if you wanted to eat out. Also, the small courtyard at the back with seating was both a lovely sun trap and also somewhere you could cool down once the sun had moved. Would definitely book again.

Stairs were a little steep and twisting, but you're advised of this in the details and also obviously due to the age of the lovely building. I can be a little accident prone, so I was just extra careful. WiFi speeds were not very good, but we managed with add ons.

The house was 1st class, really well equipped with everything needed for a family stay. Location is superb and the Tapas Bar next door is a joy. Would highly recommend!

Only slight negative is the lack of parking but this was known at point of booking so no surprise or complaint.

It was cute and quirky, but also comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

Could do with a little extra deep cleaning in places - the shower hose had a lot of gunk in the folds for example

Absolutely everything! The Vottage was absolutely perfect. The photos don’t do the property justice, it’s a gorgeous cosy house and much larger than we expected. Everything was provided for us and the house was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The house is in a perfect location with only a short trip into the centre, and the Royal William Yard is on its doorstep. The owner was fantastic and really welcoming. We loved the VOT next door - the food, drinks and staff were incredible. Highly recommend staying here and visiting the VOT.

Quirky layout, more spacious than expected. Very well equipped. Host extremely helpful.

No breakfast.

Getting into the property with the Door key was difficult on several occasions. Didn't managed to get the rad to work in the living room. Water went cold both in shower and sink during usage. Noisy traffic especially in the mornings with lorries delivering to Royal William Yard. Front door very close to the road.

It was very well equipped. Owners were incredibly helpful. Excellent location for visiting our family in Plymouth

The property had not been cleaned prior to our arrival due to a mixup, but this was rectified. Not a complaint as the owners were very accommodating

Ideal location as we were visiting my elderly mother nearby. Very spacious, very comfortable beds, excellent kitchen and quality of the property was brilliant.

Only the squeaky floorboards in the middle bedroom which be easily fixed. Bit noisy at night.

House is clean, well stocked with full set of cutlery, mugs and wine glasses. Host is super friendly and helpful.
