Location including facilities for easy dog walking. Self catering so easy walk to village shop. Did not see hosts.

TV took some working out for films etc unable to view to channels for News Bed very firm.

The location was good for accessing local facilities.

The home was not safe! The exit door from the kitchen/living room with the sofa bed could not be opened and may be a potential fire trap, especially as there were so many appliances, like the fridge, microwave all plugged into trialling extension cables. Possibly exceeding the load capacity which may explain why the heating and the fridge did not work? The fire blanket and fire extinguisher present appeared to be old and I doubt they would have been useable. The home was also not clean enough. Dirty and cracked crockery and glasses, drawers full of dirty utensils, dead spiders and dust, including on the toilet roll! The washing up liquid was so watered down as to be ineffective and the washing up sponge was old and filthy. The heating did not work in the kitchen and the fuse was off in the fuse box before we arrived. We managed to turn it on, but still did not work. Hot water did not work efficiently. The fridge did not work and food we had taken consequently spoiled. I contacted the owner as soon as possible to advise why we were unhappy, and I sent photos of the broken items. He initially offered £25 refund, when I advised this was not sufficient he refused to communicate further and withdrew the £25 offer. He gave the excuse that this was a new business and a few teething troubles! If so, why was everything old, damaged and dirty?

Very cosy. Plenty of warmth during a couple of chilly days.
