Cosy Rural Barn Conversion 5 Min Drive To Pin Mill 1 BR + sofa bed

The property was an ideal size and with expected facilities. The main bed was very comfortable. Communication with the owner was prompt and purposeful. The garden is lovely, as are the views and it's in walking distance of a lovely village. The property itself is in such a quiet, peaceful location, with a cornfield to one side. We were very happy with our choice, and the price represented very good value.

The sofa bed was not comfortable - it was commented that you could feel the springs. Given the excellent comms with the proprietor, I've no doubt this is something that would be looked at. Until the sofa bed is replaced, this property is more suitable for a couple. We also would have wished for there to be more supplies re. hot drinks - the filter coffee had as good as run out, and the granules were well out of date. These points aside, we recommend the property for many good reasons.

Beautiful location

The location and fire were the only good things.

When we arrived the place should have been cleaned by the cleaner that day, sadly it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. So we had to spend the first couple of hours cleaning after a full days work, rather than relaxing. The TV speakers were blown, the owner couldn’t get to the property for an hour which soon turned into him not coming and we had to order a tv from Argos and go and get it costing us another 45 mins of our time plus fuel to go and get it, rightly so I had the owner put the funds straight into my bank for the TV. Plus 50% back due to the state of the place. Leave for work early the next morning, turned all lights off and returned to lights on, a blue towel hung over the door, bits of pieces moved and the owner stated he didn’t know who had been in there. Which left my wife feeling voilated so we packed up our stuff and left early! Owner said we’d get a full refund, yet he’s now ignoring us! Absolutely disgusting place and extremely unprofessional owner.

A mirror on the bedroom would of been helpful. Otherwise all ok.

Location admirable - lawn and rose garden

Beds hard need hooks and a mirror in the bedroom lots of electronics, but Freeview not available Really not big enough for three people. OK for two

We didn’t go. On the website it stated the property was 6 miles (10km) from Felixstowe. But in fact it is 17 miles (27 km) Therefore misleading information! It was to far to travel (to & fro) to see our friends in Felixstowe over a weekend. But the worst thing is, this was put to the owner on 3 separate occasions & there was no response. Moral of the story, check distances yourself first before booking. As property owners do not give accurate mileage when advertising.
