If you want authentic experience - this is it! We really enjoyed our stay and the feel of a home.

It was a little too cold for our taste, even though there was a separate heater in our room. A bit uncomfortable when the bathroom is cold, but not a showstopper.

Everything about the B&B was wonderful: a large room, comfortable bed, fridge and coffee/tea fixings in the room plus a lovely bottle of wine. Helen served a proper, ample English breakfast (except for scrambled instead of fried eggs) with her husband's homemade bread. Helen was most welcoming and I was lucky to find an opening during her busy leaf-peeping season. I look forward to returning on future trips to New England.

Antique1242 was everything we could have hoped for. We stayed there the evening before Thanksgiving. The house itself is stunning—an 1820s gem full of character, with a fun UK theme (British hosts!) that added a unique touch. Every room felt warm and welcoming, like stepping back in time but with all the comforts you’d want. What really made the experience special, though, were the owners. From the moment we arrived, Helen made us feel completely at home. She was so friendly and thoughtful, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and offering great suggestions for things to do nearby and throughout New England. The breakfast was also amazing—freshly made and hearty. We loved the books, paintings, wood fireplace and variety of teas too. You could tell everything was made with care. We are very grateful/thankful that they are ao kind to share their beautiful home!

It was quiet and comfortable. Plenty of space to hang around in. Breakfast was fabulous.

Breakfast was wonderful. Service was wonderful. Helen is wonderful. Everything about our stay was wonderful. Would definitely stay there again.

Antique 1242 was a delightful experience. We wanted a stay that was close to our son and daughter-in-law and this fit the bill. We have grown weary of the big chains with their one sided loyalty. The rooms are spacious, there is a wonderful common area to relax and visit. With only 2 rooms, it really feels like home. Breakfast was brilliant! An authentic British breakfast greeted us in the morning along with a proper tea from the kettle! I can't say enough with regard to our stay. Helen was a delight and we really felt an authentic friendly connection.

Even if I wanted to nit-pik, I honestly can't think of anything we did not like. We are not demanding and we seldom patronize small Inns and B & Bs, so we probably have minimal requirements. Having said that, this was a top notch stay.
