Clean, new, close to bus stop and super market

Bed was not that comfortable.

1. Perfect for hikers who want to walk the Kumano Kodo trail. 2. Very clean. 3. Food store next to the guesthouse. (Very important for hikers, because if you head for Tanabe along Nakahechi this will be the last shop!) 4. Landlady speaks English well.

1. A little expensive for a guest house, probably due to the location (close to Hongu.) 2. The outlets on the beds don’t work, so you need to use the wall outlets. (Just a little inconvenient if you need to charge your phone over night. )

The property was clean and the shared kitchen was well stocked with cooking gear

The location wasn’t the best as the bus schedule was difficult to get around and it wasn’t a good base to explore the area. The worst thing was the beds were not comfortable. They sagged in the middle, and it could actually feel the springs! When we complained, they put a futon on top of the mattress for us which helped with the springs, but the bed still sagging in the middle. We wouldn’t stay here again.
