Escape 2 Unwind, Minster Retreat - Sleeps 5

Clean. Good location. Good facilities.

For 5 people, it would have been useful to have more than one set of keys. The lock box was useful, but it was tricky as you had to manually lock both the apartment door and main door.

Gorgeous furnishings and brilliant facilities left. Really generous with tea and coffee, and good instructions to come and arrive.

The location was good .

This apartment does not sleep 5 PEOPLE , it sleeps 4 with a ridiculously small Z bed that has a 6cm , 2 inch liner (mattress ?) which is 2 foot wide. When we informed the owners of our problem they sent an arrogant reply to the effect that it was to industry standards to expect people to get a nights sleep on a cheap Z bed . When we arrived at the property we fully expected one of the settees to fold down as a normal family would , it was not until 9 o,clock we discovered this inadequate Z bed . The Z bed locking bars which were supposed to stop the headboard flopping down on to the sleeper in the middle of the night, were so distorted as to be unsafe and unusable . Then we found that the showers were low pressure and changed from hot to cold at will , the overhead shower did not work at all. 3 of our family were so disappointed they decided as we were not getting any help from the owners , to go home to London, we had been looking forward to seeing them for months . In all a totally disappointing weekend , we wish we had never heard of Escape to sleep on a Z bed . Yours sincerely, Henry Bamforth .

Location was ideal. Excellent decor and facilities.

Access is only possible for the able bodied. This Is not a criticism just a fact. We think that should be emphasised more clearly in the literature.

Lovely setting clean and decorated lovely . Comfortable beds

Not enough storage for clothes if staying for longer than a few nights

We loved the apartment and its location. Beautifully presented with everything you need.

The stairs are narrow and apartment is on 2nd floor if you have someone in the family that is older as I did.
