Escape 2 Unwind, Minster Retreat - Sleeps 5

The apartment was well located, with York Minster close by, and plenty of bars and eateries in short walking distance. The hosts have made great use of the space to maximise potential. Fully equipped kitchen with everything travellers need for a short break.

There is no onsite parking, and whilst the nearest car park is not far away, it is far enough if carrying luggage. I was glad we had good weather. Entry to the building requires one key pad lock and entry to apartment, is another key pad lock.

The apartment is a good size & all the fixtures & fittings are of a good standard, it is a clean & airy place, which makes for a pleasant stay

my only minor complaint & it is a minor one, is that the TV uses an indoor aerial, so the reception is very hit & miss! As I say it's a minor issue & everything else was tip top!!

A really charming and well appointed, renovated top floor apartment close to Gillygate and within easy walking distance of all the attractions of York and other amenities such as pubs and supermarkets. On a busy road but traffic noise is not really an issue. Beautiful furnishings and fully appointed kitchen. Sofabed not super comfy but they rarely are! Was a bit pricey but it was Easter weekend so everything was at premium price point.

A bit tricky getting suitcases up the narrow stairs to the top floor but that is the reality of charming older homes in these historic city centres - nothing can be done about that!

We absolutely loved our stay here. We travelled as a group of friends for a 30th birthday celebration and we couldn't fault the apartment. The location was 10/10, it was clean, warm, comfortable, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Any communication with staff was efficient and they couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back. Thank you once again 😊

The location was excellent, near the station with a great view of York Minster. It is also above a delicious Thai restaurant. The place was clean and beautifully decorated, and the hosts were generous, providing toiletries, milk, tea etc. They also graciously let me extend my check in/check out hours.
