The couple who runs the place was nice at check-in. But not when we left.

The motel is old, and the room was dark, complete with old, stained, damp carpet, that was duct-taped to the floor. I asked for a non-smoking room and upon walking in, it was obvious that people had smoked in the room and the smell was masked by a heavy "fragrance" that actually made me nauseous. The bedsheets were stained and the pillowcases were dingy. I didn't even bother to look in the bathroom. Basically we walked in, saw and smelled the room, and knew we couldn't stay there, even for a night. When we told the owners that we decided not to stay there and that the room smelled, he gave us a dirty look and didn't even apologize or try to make it right. All he did was tell us that there were no refunds. So clearly, he didn't care about the state of the motel or if his customers were happy. I read other reviews saying what a nice motel this was, and now I'm wondering if they actually stayed at this motel, because this place was unacceptable.

Location was very convenient for our travels. Room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our needs.

It was clean, and the shuttle service was very nice.

The noise carries from room to room.

I have sent in a request to refund my stay ..can someone contact me in regards to this I traveled 2 hours to go to an event at darien lake I had to have cash deposit in order to obtain my room key I was not aware of that plus I had to pay for an extra person which I don't understand why and then harass my family this is the worst experience I have gone through I'm bookings
