2 Bedroom Chalet SB11, Sandown Bay, Dog Friendly

Compact chalet with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very homely and clean

Very close to neighbours, walls are very thin and soundproofing virtually non existent (I listened to my neighbour snoring all night!) Only given the key code an hour before check in time

Good location to beach and courtesy tea coffee biscuits a nice touch. Lots of kitchen equipment available and good heaters. Liked the closed off veranda

Very dated and needs better cleaning there were cobwebs about and stains around carpets and skirting boards. Cheap furniture. Not enough hot water shower went cold after 2nd use.

The chalet was nice and clean and the fact you could take your dog was good with the decking do you could leave the front door open.

It was a bit to quiet for us, most places in the town was shut and no entertainment and you couldn’t have a bath no hot water to fill it up, which was one of the things we were looking forward to.

Great location, facilities were great for what we needed ,close to the beach and walks for the dogs,plenty of good pubs for food local .....nice little fenced area at the front to sit outside in the evening with the dogs and a glass of wine in the glorious sunshine

Nothing it was great

The chalet was nicely decorated and furnished. Loved the secure front area to protect our little dog from running into the road. Beautiful location for walks along the coast path or onto the beach.

The water pressure for the shower was very poor, some mould in the bathroom, the sofa felt like it was sloping in the centre. One of the bedrooms drawers was broken and furniture cheaply made. Parking outside was tight with no turning space so having to reverse out or in. Lack of facilities on the site (shop, children’s playground)

The chalet was just what we needed, clean, comfy and quiet. The location is perfect for a quick walk the the most dog friendly beach on the island and it's a perfect location for a walk on the Culver Downs. There are amazing views from the park. Very comfortable bed, and sofa. The decked area was great for the dog, she felt safe and secure and spent most of her time there. Very concise welcome pack, about the chalet with local information. It was very clean and had everything we needed, plates and glasses, basic cooking equipment, not that we used it much. It has a washing machine, but again, we did not need it. We would definitely rebook. We have used a lot of the chalets on the same park and this was one of the best.

There is a bath, but you can only fill it by running the shower into it due to the smaller water tank. No hoover, luckily we had just had our dog groomed and is short haired but I do like to hoover on our check out, but the weather was good so the dog was almost always outside anyway! Just to be aware of, the outside sleepers between the chalets have an oily covering which was made soft by the sun (I think) and got on the side of our dog as she spent most of her time on the decking, it was only on the last morning we noticed it.
