Aloe Cottage - 2 bedroom

Conveniently situated in town, close to everything. Very peaceful & private

Low bathroom doorway, meant a few bumped heads for us over 6' tall.

Beautiful garden, peaceful and quiet!

Located in sleepy Stanford, the quaint cottage is steeped in history, well-furnished and nicely decorated, with a lovely spacious bathroom, adequately equipped kitchenette, lovely outside eating/relaxing area, clean & well-maintained throughout, with easy access parking.

The second bedroom has 2 single beds, one of which is suspended on a wooden board from the ceiling and accessed via a steep wooden ladder. This caused issues for our party, as neither of our mums (aged 79 & 84) could safely access the second bed, so had to sleep on the floor in the lounge. We would not have booked this property if we had known about the odd arrangements in the second bedroom. One parent had no privacy & none of us could use the inside lounge area easily.

The facilities were very tastefully decorated, well equipped and comfortable. Very hospitable host. Instructions to get the key good.

Very cosy cottage and well laid out Bedding was very comfortable, we all had a great nights sleep Loved the board and card games in the library

The double shower is a cool idea, but we used at as a double shower and it felt like the hot water was finished quite quickly Mould was covering the bathroom ceiling, there was a hint of this smell in the cottage The cottage was marketed as a reasonable price, but there was a extra R300 added at the end as cleaning fee. I suggest a higher price be advertised with this included already
