NZThis booking was for the weekend immediately after the devastating Mount Maunganui land slip that saw the tragic loss of life. This property over looks the incident site/hot pools and emergency services asked for people not travel to the area. But the operators insisted that they were open as usual even though local roads were closed off. So we decided on the emergency services view of not to be in the area out of respect for those that lost their lives. I don't think a reduced fee for a future stay covers the cost of the 2 nights.
NZNZWe had the host meet us on arrival, showed us around to the apartment and around the complex. Access to carpark and 2 sets of keys which is very useful. Apartment had everything and more, great location very close to the beach and restaurant's. Very kid friendly as we had 2 (ages 8 and 11). Could not fault this place at all from booking to coms to our wonderful stay, def an 11/10.
That we had to leave and drive 6.5 hours back to Wellington.

CAFabulous location, spacious accommodations, very friendly host. Jane was very accommodating, even though we kept changing our arrival time as we encountered unexpected delays. The apartment was fabulous - very comfortable and homey.
NZNZJane was fabulous! The pool and spa were great and the location superb! Free parking a bonus. Close to the Hot Pools, cafes and beaches.
I noted a previous reviewer called it whimsical, and I think that is accurate! Lots of furniture and owner's knickknacks. The second bedroom is a single with no window.
