The location and veranda great, a lot of stuff for kids + dog friendly! however we didn’t end up staying but the owners provided us an alternative location which worked out better in the end, just not the amenities that Haven provides, they were very accommodating and solved the problem straight away due to heating fault and we had a 5 month old and 6 year old. So we never got to experience Thornwick Bay unfortunately

Don’t believe it was entirely the owners fault as I’m pretty sure they pay high fees to haven to do this job for them however quite dirty & a lot of broken heating elements no gas on arrival not what you expect late at night with two kids. But like I said owners provided us with a better solution for what we was dealt with. Would have been nice to experience Thornwick with the kids but maybe another time

Clean and well equipped

Unfortunately the bed in the master bedroom was rather uncomfortable

The location was so beautiful, a 10 minute walk to the cliff tops and sea. The caravan met our needs for the 3 days we were there. The owner, Richard, was lovely and very accommodating with anything we needed. Flamborough is so lovely and we were located within a short drive of Bempton cliffs where we visited to observe the birds 🐦

The pub/eatery on the site charged £8.29 for a glass of wine which I think is shocking! Luckily we had purchased our own wine lol.

The location

I realise this was a last minute booking but I feel there are a number of things I want to bring to your attention. The swimming pool is extra. It didn't mention that about the swimming pool when booking. Honestly we would probably have gone elsewhere. We also hadn't realised about bedding etc We were already a couple of hours into driving when we were messaged, so had to go and buy things. This we could have overlooked. I've also had an electric shock off the heater in the back twin room heater when trying to turn it on the switch isn't there and the spring has then zapped me and as I've pulled away fallen out with two bits of plastic. My daughter tried to turn off the heater in her room on the last night and the switch wouldn't go off fully and has also broken. When I tried to put the spring back I got another electric shock. That's meant no heaters in two of the bedrooms and they are dangerous. The mattresses could really do with toppers on them. The springs come through and are incredibly uncomfortable. We have used the other quilts as cushioning. The plastic plates and bowls were not what I'd expect. We had tomato soup and I've tried and tried to get out the stains from the scratches on the bowl but it won't budge. There was dirty bedding in the wardrobe of the twin back bedroom that smells, we chose not to use this room, especially with the lack of useable heater. The wardrobe in the double room is mostly unusable due to the amount of bedding etc in there. We love the area and really wanted to enjoy your caravan but that didn't happen. This could be sorted for future users quite easily. My top 3 that would have really made a difference. Buy some cheap non plastic plates, put mattress toppers on the beds as they really were very uncomfortable and get the dangerous heaters fixed.
