No.3 The Old Coach House

Beautiful accommodation so tastefully furnished. Lovely host.

Have been to quite many places over the years, but this is definitely among the most beautiful ones. The whole picturesque area, the pastoral landscape, more than friendly people and this cosy place made my stay there a special one. Very handy with the Village shop and Café right next door. Nearby bus stops make the area easy to explore. Friendly host Kacie replied on every request right away. From 1-10 I expected a 7, was hoping for an 8 and received a 12 at least, oustanding and all in all a priceless experience.

Maybe a bus on sunday would have been useful to me, but not really a reason to complain about

Lighting on mirrors not great for putting on makeup. Drawers in the bedroom difficult to open

The property is beautiful furnished and presented The shower is fabulous hot and good water pressure!! Everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom comfy bed ! Maybe larger towels or at least one bath sheet ! Very clean and comfortable!

It was a bit cold ! No heating on , till I worked out there is a Honeywell monitor which I didn’t notice till I started searching for how to put the heating on! something needs putting in the welcome book to tell people about the heating really ! but not a problem once I realised it soon warmed up ! I didn’t realise that there was an apartment upstairs above me when I booked ,I thought the other holiday cottage was next door not above me They were a bit noisy clomping around .Also it’s a main walk through for many people to the shop and cafe which is literally 6 steps to the shop which is brilliant but can be noisy till it closes ! Also no window treatments only Roman blinds on windows so people can see right in to the bedroom and kitchen/lounge as it’s in the church grounds every one walks past and looks in so Perspex on the bottom half of the window might be an option instead of having to keep the blinds down all the time !

The appointments in the cottage were excellent, very nicely decorated. Location in the centre of the village was also excellent. Location was also handy for day trips to other Cotswolds villages, given they were all within easy driving distance from the cottage. The property manager was easily accessible and responded to queries very promptly.

The mattress appeared to be quite old as it had several lumps and bumps in it. It was difficult to get comfortable without a bit of manoeuvring. The temperature in the cottage was quite cold (for us) and the heating system didn’t quite do its job despite a couple of interventions by the property manager.

It was a bit chilly when we arrived , but the next day it was ok .

We visit the Cotswolds for weekend trips a lot. This was by far our favourite cottage. So clean and cosy. The decor was beautiful and well matched. Kitchen was very well equipped. Biscuits and milk were a lovely touch, Thankyou x

If I had to be really picky….Bath towels were slightly small 😞
