5 Miles to the Ocean

This is an exceptional rental property perfect for a vacation or long weekend getaway for beach lovers wanting to enjoy the beautiful Crystal Coast at Emerald Isle with so much to do only minutes away. Pat and John are exceptional hosts and made our vacation visit extra special with their super hospitality, friendliness, helping us with some needs during our visit and offering a deep wealth of information and knowledge about numerous things locally, great places to eat and visit and were available and ready to help with anything needed. Their care for us was amazing. Their attached apartment is very cozy and well decorated, extremely comfortable and just right for 2 people or a small family of 3 or 4. The apartment is very well stocked with so many items and even the little things unexpected. What a treat! It was simply like being at home, at their home! We highly recommend their apartment as a quiet place to stay in a very nice neighborhood just off the main road heading to the beach and local places of interest. We look forward to a return visit again in the future. This is truly a treasure and an exceptional place for a NC coastal visit with incredible hosts.

It was in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the beach. It had EVERYTHING you could possibly need so you don’t have to constantly run out and buy day to day things.

There was nothing we did not like. It was clean beautifully decorated and everything was available

It would be easier to tell you what I didn’t like, which was NOTHING. No complaints at all. You can tell Pat and John really care and put effort in. They thought of everything; towels, seasonings, coffee and tea station, etc. they were quick to reply and keep in touch. They were very kind and even gave us stuff out of their garden! When I came across this place, I was skeptical it was a scam cause for the price it seemed too good to be true! But it’s not, they’re just lovely people with a lovely place to share. Wonderful location too, close to the beach, restaurants, walking trails, you could stay a week and find all sorts of things to do. Next time I’m down that way, they definitely have a repeat customer. Also, had a beautiful roofed porch we enjoyed sitting on

I loved the quiet location and the beautiful yard the most at this property. It was just what I needed for this visit.

I don't think that there is one negative I could mention. Everything was exactly as advertised and extremely comfortable.

Clean, comfortable and quiet.

Exceptionally clean, comfortable and peaceful. Cozy in~law style apartment. Everything you need is available and fully supplied with the likes of home. Close to stores, restaurants, attractions and the beachfront.

We loved all the little special touches like the bath towels with the monogrammed tunas, the welcome basket complete with wine, water, and snacks, the fact that it was so very clean when we arrived, their attentiveness when we let them know the porch light was out, (they changed it promptly. A little thing but important to us!). It was so quiet and peaceful - a wonderful change from noisy hotels. We loved the beach themed decor as it made us feel like we were on the beach instead of 5 miles away. This apartment was perfect for just the two of us. It gave us plenty of space to stretch out.

The bed in the first bedroom was beautiful but it was very HIGH and as I'm only 5' tall, I struggled to get in and out of this bed. But of course this was the bedroom my husband preferred because it had the TV - (the other bedroom doesn't have a TV).

The apartment was clean, quiet and comfortable. Was exactly what my family was looking for.
