Casa Al Prato Apt. F

Fantastic location. Nice clean apartment which was great for our stay with friends. Lovely views and easy access to restaurants, bars, ferries and station.

There are quite a few steps up to the apartment which won't suit everyone but fine for us. Last time we went there was a small welcome pack of groceries although not much this time. The wine was a nice touch, thank you. Coffee only provided for 3 and was decaffeinated. There was a broken light in the bathroom and bin broken too. The sofas had seen better days but comfortable enough - we didn't sit in them much.

The property has amazing views. There were 4 of us (adults), we found the bedrooms ok, but the bathroom had a problem, I think due to thin pipes in the building, the shower was leaking - so the floor around the shower cabin would have water. The lights did not work, and the hair dryer was broken, luckily one of us had one with her. The area is lovely, the flat is in the same building as the restaurant Al Prato, highly-rated one. We had a lovely time overall.

Sloping ceilings were a little tricky for a family all over 6 feet but when you have a view like that who cares .

The location is excellent with restaurants within 2 minutes walk. The apartment photos don’t do the property justice as the view from the apartment of Lake Como is breathtaking

Nothing needs to improve

The location was great right near the plaza.

It was not clear to me that there were two flights of steps, and then the bedrooms were another flight inside. Also, we loved the thought of the viewing area as shown, but when we got there, there were not any chairs. Bummer, and George didn't bring any over.

Great location. Roomy and a nice view of the lake. Very clean and functional. We have 4 people and worked well. We mixed eating out and cooking in.

Very difficult to get local staff to respond to messages and help. Our front door wouldn’t lock for first 24hrs and missing by dish clothe, dish liquid and dish washer tabs - which weirdly is a reoccurring complaint, yet so simple to fix. These issues were rectified the next day with my consistent follow up. The instructions to get there and where to park your car could be improved as it wasn’t not clear. Also they use another app outside of Booking.com that makes check in harder than it should be. Why not just use booking.com msgs like everyone else?? Out of 35 bookings on booking.com by far the most difficult to communicate with. I sent an email 3 days ago hoping to get a response while I was there and still no response.

Spacious and very clean. Appreciated welcome pack. Central to everything.
