Rachel was brilliant, she is a very attentive host. Previous reviews someone complained about the armchairs not having a footstool and now there is a footstool, she really goes out her way to listen and make your stay great. She built us the makings for a great fire. She helped us out with a table at the pub. The cottage its self is gorgeous, so cosy and Rachel gives you a little book detailing where to find everything and some really interesting history on the property. The bed is so soft, the sheets are great. The pressure in the shower is outstanding and the shower gel and hand wash provided is so good I will be buying some for home. It’s in a great area it’s nice and quiet, scenic, a quick walk to a good local pub and not far to drive to other locations. We had a lot of fun writing things on the fridge :)

The cottage had everything you could think of

The parking was a little bit of an issue for us but other than that it's a gorgeous location .

"perfect rural bolt hole within easy drive of Bath and Bristol"

8.0

A fantastic welcome The Cottage had a generous store of tea coffee and all the essentials. The Cottage was cozy and warm and had superb range of cooking equipment to make anything we wanted. The area was quiet and rural, perfect for the break.

Everything was genuinely great but minor thing was one of the armchairs was comfortable, the other a little past its best. To maximise the cost sitting area and fire, it might be worth upgrading the armchair.

"Beautiful English Cottage in a lovely location."

10.0

We were met by Rachel as soon as we arrived. She escorted us to the cottage and went through all of the things we needed to know to enjoy our stay. Rachel had provided so many extras which we were not expecting. We loved the cottage and if you are looking for a 200 year old cottage in a quite village then you have found it. Perfect. Thanks Rachel.

"Perfect getaway"

Beautiful location, comfortable cottage. A lot of love and attention is put into this property.

The one thing that would make it even more comfortable would be a pair of foot stools to go with the armchairs.

"Perfect stay in Compton Martin."

10.0

A warm welcome from Rachel. The cottage is fabulous, kitted out with everything you could want. Two fireside chairs, which I imagine in the winter would be so cosy, along with throws. The kitchen was fully fitted and ideal for a night or a weeks stay, catering for yourself. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits. We managed the spiral staircase fine and found a lovely comfortable bed and perfect en-suite.sift fluffy towels were supplied too! Plenty of room, wardrobe, chest of drawers and amazing views from the windows. The Pub just around the corner at the end of the lane has a great menu and food was first class.
