Woodview - cosy 1840s cottage in Chew Valley and Mendip AONB

Beautiful old cottage with character. Great selection of facilities! The owners were a lovely helpful couple l who were always there to help, but at the same time respected your privacy. Lovely surroundings/location and ideal place for the dog to walk on the doorstep. Lovely shower!

Staircase too small and not ideal. Missed a bath! Needed a sofa and area to lounge with TV in view.

We loved the finish of the decor, the quality of the property,the furnishings, the fire and kitchen equipment available. Ourhosts Rachel and Roo were both accommodating and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Was met in person by Roo, who gave us a very warm welcome and handed over the keys. He had even laid the fire for us. The place is of the highest standard and full of character and lovely details. Very difficult not to feel calm and cosy while staying here.

As dog lovers, the only thing I could possibly say in this paragraph was that we didn't get to meet Treacle!

Lovely old cottage that was really comfortable and with everything you could need. Quiet rural setting in a great area.

Cannot think of anything except no bath.

Rachel met us on arrival and gave us a quick run-through of the facilities as well as advising us on where some local walking routes.

The property was beautiful with excellent views, both windows in the bedrooms. There was easy and direct access to the local pub (which was excellent).

A word of warning, if you have mobility issues there are some very steep circular stairs to get to the bedroom.

Cosy stone cottage in a beautiful setting. Clean and well fitted out, especially the kitchen. Great place to relax and good base for exploring the surrounding area. Rachel and Roo were friendly and helpful too!
