Woodview - cosy 1840s cottage in Chew Valley and Mendip AONB

Rachel was such a wonderful host! The location was amazing and it was a truly lovely few days.

Great facilities, good communication from the hosts and nice local walks for our dog!

Everything there that we needed - tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and more....so even if we hadn't already shopped, we would have been ok for basics for a couple of days. The house is very cosy - Freeview channels so you can log on to your own accounts and watch what you want, and everything (toilet paper, washing up liquid etc) is eco friendly. There's a good pub within 5 mins walk.

Nothing! It was great! Some people may struggle with the narrow spiral staircase.

Communication was easy, and the hosts were amazing, I would choose this accommodation again in the future.

We loved everything about Woodview! Rachel was a lovely host and the property had lots of nice touches - there was milk in the fridge on arrival, as well as tea, coffee and biscuits. The cottage is finished to a very high standard, and felt clean and well equipped. Compton Martin was the perfect base for our holiday and Woodview had everything we needed; we would love to come back and explore Somerset further!

Nothing to dislike

Beautiful little cottage overlooking the fields. Super shower! All the kitchen things you could ever want for. Very short walk to cracking pub (lovely food).

It's a cosy small cottage and the spiral staircase is best approached with caution after a glass of wine!
