Helvellyn - The Hut - Twin or Double

Superb location. Breakfast and other meals are available in the nearby Youth Hostel -- a real plus. We also paid a small fee to shower there.

Lack of shower.

Shower is not available in the property when we visited it, it would have been better if it is mentioned in the accomodation information that the shower is not available, because I would not have booked the accomodation without shower. Everything else is good.

Loves the cosy vibe of the hut and the stunning surroundings, lovely garden with fire pit. Amazing lady who runs it came and made sure everything was ok

Nothing it was perfect

The hut is in an amazing location, out of the way and remote and so an ideal location for hikers or walkers. The views are spectacular and the ambience was very peaceful. The parking was good as it was right next to the garden and practicaly adjacent to the hut (although separated by a fence a lilac bush). The owner was very friendly, polite and helpful.

It is worth noting that the path up to the hut is single track and gravel in parts. It is also worth noting that there is a youth hostel at the top of the path. Neither of these are an issue but are worth noting.

Amazing location , beautiful view right outside. Nicky was very welcoming and gave us info about the local area and what activities we could do !

Very quaint teeny tiny hut that has a fantastic view and everything you need to hand. Lovely owner who came and gave us some details and a chat about the hills. We had a great sleep after our mountain walks and few celebratory voddies x

No shower but that’s more an issue if we stayed more than one night x
