Odyseia Apts ΙI at the Center of the City & Old Town

Nicely located apartment, lots of space.

Equipment is a bit old

We were disappointed about our arrival. I clearly communicated that we would arrive at 15h but our flight was delayed so we arrived at 15h45 at the apartment. It was cold and rainy and windy and there were no signs or instructions. They could of provided us with a keybox or instructions to get in but instead I had to text them to inform we had arrived and it took them almost 20min to arrive and unlock the door. They really need to work on their check in system.

Great place to stay in Chania! The location could not be better, close to the port, city centre and restaurants. The host was very helpful and responsive.

There is no separate parking spot near to the apartment - in high hours it is rather difficult to find free parking space but not impossible!

* Inadequate lighting approaching the accommodation (30 meters or so from the main entrance to the front door around winding pathway). * Stairway to accommodation up one flight of stairs - too steep for us to claim with 20kg luggages / little railings to help climb upstairs * Second bedroom has NO AIR CONDITIONING. We arrived late at night, maybe around 11pm as our flight was delayed. We needed to contact the host by phone to find the main entrance as its not clearly advertised from the front street and the local taxi driver had difficulty too. Might be a little difficult for some. After entering from the street we needed again to contact the host to locate the front door to the building to ask where are the keys. They were inside a coded box. The building to the front door was about 30 meters from the Main Street & not so easy to find. You must go up steps and make your way around a pathway to find the front door. NO lighting so not so safe but we used our mobile phones to find the key in the box. We are middle aged, initially after a long flight getting to our room was too complicated, so we would not wish to use this accommodation again.

The location is bang in the centre but in a quiet street for a more relaxing vibe. There are 2 spacious bedrooms (1 of them with 3 beds), bathroom with washing machine, and a spacious kitchen/dining/living. Good for a short stay with family. The host was very friendly and helpful - we had a delayed arrival and was very helpful with instructions to collect the keys from the box.

There are a few steps to reach the property which might be cumbersome especially with luggage. There is 1 bedroom with no AC - there are 2 ACs in the property - 1 in bedroom and 1 in living. The bathroom might be a bit messy with water overflowing from the shower.
