The Sierra - By The Lake

The cleaning staff especially two guys both named Sunil were very good and helpful.

There is one Assamese manager present at the reception who is a very shrewd person. On the very last day, my parents had to leave at around 7:30am because of a 10:15am flight from Udaipur. We had requested some breakfast to be packed and breakfast was already included in our stay package. The breakfast that was provided was very less in quantity (2 mini sandwiches and 2 small muffins along with a couple of apples and bananas). Moreover, the sandwiches packed were stale and the bananas were rotten. This shows their mentality. That Assamese person also tried to convince my parents to leave the hotel earlier than 7:30am by scaring them about high traffic during morning times on the way to the airport none of which were actually true. They are always ready to charge sky high for average facilities and then compromise on the quality. I even had a conversation with him later on phone after which he said he will call me after some time but he didn't call back. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL IS WHAT I SUGGEST. There are plenty of good hotels in Udaipur who can provide better service at cheaper prices.

It is a nice and a cosy boutique hotel in a convenient location with all the amenities that one would need.We booked a suite room with balcony and it was good to accomodate couple with our 16 year old son in a separate single bed. The small heated pool is one of the added feature which is rare to find.It also has a nice rooftop cafe with a varieties of food and drink options on their menu with a scenic lake view.The breakfast options were limited but sufficient varieties.The lake view is only visible from the rooftop cafe and presidential suite.All the other rooms are at lower floors.

The location is not where I thought but honestly not a big issue at all.

With its fantastic lakeside views and lively rooftop atmosphere, this hotel is a real gem. The combination of live music and dining overlooking the water was a highlight, made even better by the excellent service. I’d return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.
