Friendly reception, clean and modern facilities. Loved the old heritage part of town.

The proximity of the property to all the places we wished to visit.

I lost an item worth 7k within the property and the host didn’t make an effort to find it. She instead told me not to blame anyone. The bed is far too low. The are no lights by the swimming pool which makes swimming in the evening unsafe. When we asked for one, the owner said the moon should help with that. There is no safe parking as requested on booking. The property has a garage but we weren’t allowed to use it. We parked outside. The fact that we had to walk out into the street made us feel unsafe whenever we were leaving or arriving in the night. There are ants everywhere so if you leave food outside even just going outside, you’ll find ants in it. There’s only one small mirror only in the bathroom enough to see your face and shoulders. The shower drainage was blocked. There are 3 plugging sockets in the room and no extension cord, so using the mirror and a hair dryer/straightener was a nightmare. There was no iron dedicated to the room, we had to ask for it. There’s no ironing board so we had to use the bed, whose height is even lower than an average couch.

Iaan is the nicest host ever! I had a late checkin in the evening and he made sure he was there to check me in and provide me with all necessary things. The balcony had a good view of table mountain and city lights which was mesmerising!! The kitchenette had all required crockery and coffee/tea/milk/water. The pool was very nice too! I stayed here for 10 nights and the housekeeping lady made my room livable throughout! Even though it is on a steep road, it is pretty accessible by uber so i never had any problem with transport. Its just 20 mins away from the airport which is really great. Whenever i come to capetown i would time and again stay at this property! It was so cozy❤️ the bath was so big! Francie and iaan were always one message away so anyone reading this can book this place right away without a second thought ☺️ Also, its in middle of city so all the tours are pretty accessible from this place, its near longstreet which has some amazing bars and nightlife! Thanks for making my stay so memorable!

I wanted a location for walking and 8 on Upper Bloem worked out well for doing this. The room was very clean.
