AT ONE - with Nature Glamping, Rekawa

This property was amazing, gave a feeling of staying in an urban jungle. Every morning u can hear peacock sound, and very peaceful place. Close to turtle beach however we couldn’t see any turtle when we went, it depends on ur luck and timing.

They had a small pool, and the large pool was chargeable.

Beautiful tents, lovely peaceful area, very short walk to the turtle beach and even shorter walk to the lagoon. Anoja and her staff were incredibly helpful and kind, nothing was too much trouble for them.Food was also wonderful and plentiful, I couldn't ever finish my plate.Very fair price for what you get.Highly recommend staying here and if you find the plunge pool too small (I found it perfect) you can always arrange to swim nextdoor.The whole staff really care about their guests and make it a very happy pleasurable stay.

No complaints

The glamping tent was fairly basic but reasonably comfortable and had a fan, air conditioning and a clean bathroom. It is very dark inside though so not a place you would spend much time. The setting in a small garden was quiet. The manager Anoja was friendly and helpful and a good cook. Great view over tree tops to the lagoon from the second floor restaurant.

The advertisement for this property shows that it has a pool, which is not the case. The lovely swimming pool pictured belongs to the next door hotel and At One charges approx. 1,700 LKR per day for guests to use it. While the staff, mainly Anoja the manager, are nice, the owner of the hotel was there during our stay and we quickly understood that he is not a nice man. I witnessed him (he did not realise I was there - and he was speaking in English as he is Indian and does not speak Sinhala) verbally abusing the hotel manager, and I mean ranting, swearing and telling her she is worse than useless. It is clear that this was a common occurrence. When we spoke to locals at one of the other places we visited in the village it seems that this man has a bad reputation. We would not recommend this hotel for these two reasons. In our view, one would be much better off staying at Omkara Villas next door (the place with the pool) which has lovely staff, far nicer accommodation and a much nicer setting in a tranquil garden and obviously with the pool and very nice restaurant.

Great location close to Rekawa Beach and several restaurants. Very friendly staff. The tents are really cosy.

The bed was making quite some noise and overall we felt the tents were too close to eachother. If you are an early sleeper, you need to wait until the rest of the people also decide to sleep.

Super tolle Unterkunft, schick eingerichtet und alle sind so herzlich. Hier fühlt man sich als Teil der Familie.

Das Glamping-Zelt ist mit allem nötigen ausgestattet und sehr gemütlich. Das BBQ-Dinner mit frischem Fisch war sehr lecker. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Den großen Pool, den man auf den Fotos sieht kann man nur gegen eine Gebühr von 6$ pro Tag und Person nutzen. Das war uns vorher nicht bewusst.

The staff were exceptional, by far the best service I've received in Sri Lanka. And the beach which is only 10 minutes away is stunning. In hindsight, I regret giving this a nine. I think it's really a 9.75!

If I was to be picky, one of the swimming pools in the photos is in another unit so you have to pay for a day pass. Having said that, I didn't go there for sitting by a pool!
