Traveling here in the off-season turned out to be the best decision I could have made. The island has a different character during this time of year – quieter, slower, and full of little moments that you might miss when it’s busy. The check-in was fast and welcoming, and I immediately felt like I could settle in without stress. The room was cozy and bright, with fresh air flowing through and everything spotlessly clean. After a day of walking around the island, it was the perfect place to rest. I especially appreciated the thoughtful details, like how tidy everything was kept and the way the space felt calm and uncluttered. Breakfast was simple but satisfying – fresh, filling, and exactly what I needed to start my mornings. What I loved most, though, was the atmosphere. Because there weren’t too many people, I could take slow walks, enjoy quiet coffee stops, and sit outside without distraction. It gave me time to recharge and really enjoy the beauty of the place. What made this stay special wasn’t just the room or the food, but the feeling of genuine hospitality and the chance to experience the island at its most peaceful. I left feeling refreshed and grateful, and I would happily return again.

Diese Reise war von Anfang bis Ende ein wirklich erfrischendes Erlebnis. Die Ankunft zu dieser Jahreszeit war perfekt – die Insel war ruhig, das Wetter angenehm, und es gab überhaupt keine Hektik. Der Check-in verlief schnell und freundlich, was das Einleben sehr einfach machte. Das Zimmer selbst war hell, sauber und voller frischer Luft. Es fühlte sich wie ein kleines Refugium an, in das ich nach Spaziergängen durch die Stadt oder nach dem Erkunden der Strände zurückkehren konnte. Die Atmosphäre war ruhig und zugleich einladend, und jedes Detail schien sorgfältig bedacht – von den ordentlich vorbereiteten Bettwäsche bis hin zu den gepflegten Gemeinschaftsbereichen. Auch das Frühstück war ein Highlight. Es war nicht kompliziert, aber lecker und sättigend, und es gab mir den perfekten Start in den Tag. Besonders gefallen hat mir, wie stressfrei alles war: keine langen Wartezeiten, kein Druck, einfach reibungslos und unkompliziert

I had wonderful stay at Van Phuong Hotel Cat Ba. As it is the beginning of the season, the island feels very relaxing and not too crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel is clean, spacious, and well-ventilated, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. A special mention goes to Seven, the staff member, who was extremely friendly and approachable, always making sure guests felt welcome and well taken care of. Overall, it’s a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy Cat Ba in a peaceful and comfortable setting.
