B&B De Leeuw

The unique experience of staying on a houseboat was great. I loved waking up to see swans and all sorts of waterfowl. Norbert was so kind and accommodating and drove us to and from the station, to the library to print tickets and to our son’s apartment. He even invited us to sing and dance around a fire with his friends for Christmas. It was unfortunate that Zwolle was experiencing record flooding while we were there but Norbert assured us we were safe and helped get our luggage over the floodwater.

The flooding was unfortunate but was beyond anyone’s control.

The owner was amazingly kind, even picked us from the train station and asked each day if we would need anything. The place itself was perfect and the breakfast truly amazing!

An interesting take on the normal Bed and Breakfast which allows you the freedom to choose when to have your breakfast. The location was good although rather haphazard and not so appealing to get to. Once inside, the view out of the lounge window of the canal was lovely. However, inside the house boat, it was very good. Spacious and well equipped. The breakfast was extremely generous and the host likewise, nothing was too much trouble. He wanted his guests to relax and want for nothing. He was helpful too with where to visit. When we stayed, the temperature was 32 degrees so the air conditioning was very much appreciated. The two TV's were appreciated and even more so when we discovered we could get the BBC and watch Wimbledon! being able to park the car near to the house boat was another bonus.

It would improve the ambiance if the garden area was smartened up so that it was a place for guests to sit outside.

Very nice place and host. The apartment was very clean. And the food was great.

This is a very special place with the best owner! Waking up and see the river with ducks greeting you in the morning has no price. And this B&B has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast is superb, complete and also gluten free for me as a celiac person! And the best of this athmosphere is Norbert, a person with a big heart and a high spirit, it has been a pleasure to meet him. He made our stay so comfortable that we will never forget it. We'd love to come back again someday, of course we'll book this place and we'll recommend it to our friends. Thank you Norbert for everything, you helped us to be so happy there, you are magic!!!

It couldn'nt have been better.

Spacious, comfortable room in Very peaceful setting! Walking distance to a nice city park and short bike ride to down town Zwolle. And a bonus raft trip on the canal! Awesome host!! 5 Stars

Host was very helpful and eager to.make our stay pleasant Very good breakfast with our preferences supplied Cabin was ideal Boat came for use with the cabin my husband took it out with just us two, and around Zwolle having never soley steered a boat before. Host was very kind. Easy to get around by bus or train Pleasant walk to town centre Really pleasant city Beautiful dog, don't worry non invasive and that's me liking dogs usually at a distance.

Mostly great Would have wanted the broken toilet seat changed.Was told it had broken the morning of our arrival and would be replaced that day or the next but never happened.Was dangerous to sit on and the break was very obvious.Disappointed about that.

Wonderful location, right next door to a great playground and petting zoo for kids. The host was so accommodating and lovely, comfy beds, great breakfast.
